I. Classification by workin principle
1. Continuous Inkjet Printers:
Under the pressure of the ink supply pump, the ink passes through the ink path from the ink tank, adjusts the pressure, viscosity, and enters the spray gun. As the pressure continues, the ink is ejected from the nozzle, and the ink is subjected to the action of the piezoelectric crystal as it passes through the nozzle. Breaking into a series of continuous, equally spaced and identically sized ink droplets, the jet of ink continues to move downward through the charging pole, where the ink droplets are separated from the ink line. A certain voltage is applied to the charging pole, and when the ink droplet is separated from the conductive ink line, a negative electric charge proportional to the voltage applied by the charging pole is instantaneously carried. By changing the voltage frequency of the charging pole to be the same as the frequency at which the ink droplets are broken, each ink droplet can be charged with a predetermined negative charge. Under the pressure, the ink flow continues to move downward, from two separate The deflector with positive and negative voltage passes through the middle, and the charged ink droplets will deflect when passing through the deflector. The degree of deflection depends on the amount of charge. The uncharged ink droplets will not deflect and flow down to the recovery tube. Finally, it is recycled back to the ink tank through the recycling pipe. The charged and deflected ink drops fall at a certain speed and angle onto the object passing in front of the vertical nozzle.
2. Drop On Demand
There are three types of printers for drop-on-demand inkjet technology, piezoelectric inkjet technology, pressure-valve inkjet technology, and thermal foaming inkjet technology, each of which works differently.
(1). Piezoelectric inkjet technology: Piezoelectric inkjet printer is also called high resolution inkjet printer or high resolution inkjet printer. On the integrated nozzle, 128 or more piezoelectric crystals are used to control the nozzle. The plurality of nozzle holes on the board are processed by the CPU, and then a series of electrical signals are outputted to the respective piezoelectric crystals through the driving board, and the piezoelectric crystal is deformed, so that the ink is ejected from the nozzle and falls on the surface of the moving object. , forming a dot matrix to form words, numbers or graphics. Then, the piezoelectric crystal is restored to its original state, and new ink enters the nozzle due to the surface tension of the ink. Because of the high density of dots per square centimeter, piezoelectric technology can be used to print high-quality text, complex logos, and barcodes.
(2). Solenoid valve type inkjet printer (large character inkjet printer): The nozzle is composed of 7 groups or 16 groups of high-precision intelligent micro-valve valves. When printing, the characters or graphics to be printed are processed by the computer motherboard. Through the output board, a series of electrical signals are output to the intelligent micro-shaped solenoid valve, the valve is quickly opened and closed, and the ink is ejected by the internal constant pressure into the ink dots, and the ink dots form characters or figures on the surface of the moving object to be printed.
3. Thermal Inkjet Printing Technology
Referred to as TIJ, a thin film resistor is used to heat less than 0.5% of the ink in the ink ejection zone to form a bubble. This bubble expands at a very fast rate (less than 10 microseconds), forcing ink droplets to eject from the nozzle. The bubble continues to grow for a few microseconds and disappears back to the resistor. When the bubble disappears, the ink of the nozzle retracts. The surface tension then produces suction.
II. Classification by Application
1. Small Character Inkjet Printer:
The printer uses the ink to electrically deflect and deflect the ink dots out of the normal flight path to the surface of the work object, and controls the position of each ink droplet by the amount of charge charged to the ink droplets. Usually, the ink droplets only change in the vertical direction, and the ink and the nozzle must be moved relative to each other to form the material we want to print.
The printer logo has the following advantages:
a.Non-contact
Because it is sprayed ink, it does not need to be in direct contact with the surface of the workpiece, and will not damage the surface of the printed matter.
b.High speed
Take the production of soda cola as an example, the marking speed can reach more than 1000 bottles per minute.
c. Easy to edit and modify print content
When editing content without connecting to a computer, you can also add variability data such as date and time, serial number, batch number, etc. When you print a picture, you can insert the U disk directly.
e.Wide range of surface materials for inkjet printer applications
The printer is available in a variety of inks, from paper, plastic, metal, glass, hard surfaces or soft, fragile surfaces.
2. Large Character Inkjet Printer:
If it is a 7-point nozzle, there are 7 independent valves to control the printing font size. It is generally applied to the outer box, the outer package or the large workpiece, such as thick water pipe or asbestos board, heat insulation board, etc. Workpiece. Since the 1970s, Matthews Swedot Branch has developed the world's first large-character inkjet printer, and its products have maintained the number one position in the global large-character inkjet printer market. In the world, more than 500,000 large-size machine nozzles have been successfully installed and commissioned for customers. The 8000 series products can print up to 5 lines at a time with a single nozzle and the running speed is 240 m/min.
Small character series, high-definition series, large-size machine series and laser machine series and other professional inkjet printers are widely used in food, building materials, electronics, printing and other industries.
3. High Resolution Inkjet Printer:
The high-resolution inkjet printer is in principle a DOD (on-demand inkjet) type inkjet printing. Generally, the nozzles produced by XAAR are used, which is characterized by high resolution of the printed content.
The high-resolution jet printer is also called high-resolution jet printer and high-resolution jet printer. The nozzles are the same way as the printers used in the office. They all belong to the DOD type, and many small apertures are densely arranged on the nozzle. The nozzle hole, this feature determines that this type of machine generally uses oily ink, and the oily ink is only sprayed on the adsorbent material, such as uncoated paper, uncoated wood board, etc., the ink will dry quickly. If it is sprayed on a non-adsorptive material such as plastic or metal, the ink will dry longer.
High resolution printers have a wider range of character heights 1.2mm--17mm
It can print digital dot matrix fonts (like dot matrix), Chinese characters can not use dot matrix, high resolution font prints, and even print any font on the computer. The printing speed is not affected by the font lattice, and the fastest can reach 60m/min.
When the machine is running, ink is sprayed on demand, the ink is not recycled, and the ink concentration is consistent. No need to add diluent (solvent), the operating cost is lower than the CIJ type.
The ink does not need to be recycled, and the ink supply system is well sealed to avoid ink contamination. The ink is ejected directly, with its own pressure, and no pressure pump or other equipment is required to provide pressure.
The shortcomings of high-resolution inkjet printers cannot be used for embossed products. The nozzles are easy to block during use. The use process requires repeated ink squeezing, resulting in waste. The inks are always exhausted and the operation is cumbersome. At present, high resolution is accelerating from the market. The only advantage of the printer is the low price. The only drawback is the high failure rate. Customers who use the high resolution printer will buy small characters again.
The control system is simple and reliable, easy to operate and easy to maintain.
The ink is not recycled, uses environmentally friendly inks, has no irritating odor, and is less polluting to the environment. There is no high-power device in the machine. When working, there is no need to dissipate heat. The equipment system is well sealed and is not affected by the working environment.
These advantages of high-resolution inkjet printers are being paid attention to by the market, and sales are increasing.
4. Fly Laser Printer:
The laser printer uses a software to deflect the laser beam and use the high temperature of the laser to directly burn the surface of the product to be identified to form a font or pattern.
The advantages of laser printers are as follows:
(1). Reduce production costs, reduce consumables, and increase production efficiency.
(2). The anti-counterfeiting effect is obvious, so the laser coding technology can effectively suppress the product identification and counterfeiting.
(3). Conducive to product tracking records, laser printers can print the batch number of production date, shifts, etc. It can make every product get good tracking performance.
(4). Adding additional value can make the product look higher. Enhance the visibility of product brands.
(5). The equipment is reliable. The laser marking (coding) machine has mature industrial design, stable and reliable performance, and can work continuously for 24 hours. The laser maintenance-free time is more than 20,000 hours. Wide temperature range (5 °C - 45 °C), widely used in the production and packaging fields of various industries.
(6). Environmental protection, safety, laser code printer does not produce any chemicals harmful to the human body and the environment. Meet the GB7247-87; GB10320-88 standard. It is an environmentally friendly high-tech product.
(7). The laser printer can print a large amount of data in a very small range. The laser can be marked on the product material with a very thin beam. The printing precision is extremely high, the control is accurate, and the printing content is clearly and perfectly explained. It has strong market competitiveness, environmental protection and safety, no corrosiveness, completely isolates chemical pollution, and is also a kind of intimate protection for operators, ensuring clean and tidy production sites, reducing post-investment and reducing noise pollution. .
Human understanding of environmental protection and effective use of resources has reached an unprecedented height. The elimination of backward equipment production processes that cause environmental pollution and waste of resources has become the consensus of developed countries and most developing countries including China. Due to the insurmountable high pollution, high consumables, high failure, and high maintenance problems of the "dot matrix ink coding machine", especially the chemical pollution generated during use can cause harm to the environment and operators.
5. Thermal Transfer Overprinter:
How thermal transfer works: Each printhead has a row of heating elements; these elements are glazed (a thin layer of glass) as a protective layer and are driven and heated at the appropriate time; The heat melts the ink on the ribbon while transferring the ink to the substrate due to the pressure of the gas pressure. Only the words of the thermal transfer printer are not printed independently and can be printed. The world's fastest coder can be 600MM per second.
