What ink should l use for my particular application?

Working with our application support chemistry experts is one way to find the best inks to meet your and your customers' specific application needs. Therefore, the first step in selecting the best ink is to ask you the following questions:

– What is the material of your product? Is it glass, metal, plastic, etc.? If it's plastic, what type? For example, HDPE, LDPE, PE, PP, etc.?

– How quickly does this ink need to dry? More specifically, what substances will first come into contact with the ink code? What pressure and temperature will it withstand upon contact?

– What is the state of your product before coding? Is it damp, oily, high temperature, low temperature, clean, etc.?

– What conditions must the ink code withstand after being printed onto the product? What types of liquids or solvents (water, corrosive substances, oil, alcohol, high temperature, sunlight, steam, etc.) are used in your or your customers' production processes?

– What kind of adhesion do you need? Or in other words, how long do you want the code to adhere firmly to the product within its required lifespan? Do you need the code to be removable, etc.?
